eBook ErrataThe following post-release errata are presently noted. Errata are published on this page and also notified via our newsletter. Errata on Release R4E0609: 1. Figure 1.1, page 17, shows: (Delta s)squared = 2 (timelike) and (Delta s)squared = -2 (spacelike). The values of both these cases should be +4, or better stated, use Delta s (unsquared) and then the values are 2 1 1 2. Error discovered Oct 15, 2006, thanks to "Bajo" (forum nickname). 2. Figure 2.7, page 40, has the same error and should be treated as in erratum 1. 3. Equation 2.6, page 42, has a spurious division by c-squared at the end. It should be removed. End of Errata on Release R4E0609. A new release of the eBook, R4E0611, appeared on November 1, 2006. The above errors/updates have been corrected/applied to the new release.
Errata on Release R4E0611: There is a confusing paragraph in chapter 14, The Friedmann Equation, page 185, between equation 14.6 and 14.7, reading:
The last line should read: "... goes positive and negative corresponding to negative and positive curvature respectively." (the opposite of what is implied in the eBook). Equation 3.5 on page 54 is correct for an acceleration of 1g (a_dot_dot = 1). For other accelerations, insert the acceleration value below the line. Similarly for equation 3.6 on page 57.
